On July 12, Bashas’ Supermarket celebrated its 90th anniversary. It is a family-owned and operated grocery store business in Arizona.

To commemorate its anniversary, it decided to make the world’s largest mosaic, utilising 14,400 doughnuts. This accomplishment required 48,160 pounds of icing and a crew of more than 50 individuals.

Locals watched the logo come to life at Basha High School in Chandler, Arizona. The logo required more than four hours to complete.

The event was overseen by judges from Guinness World Records, who later presented the supermarket chain with a certificate for creating the “biggest doughnut mosaic (logo).”

While 200 doughnuts were provided to event goers, the remainder were given to three food banks.

Ashley Shick, director of community relations and public affairs at Bashas, said in a statement, “We wanted to do something really special to celebrate Bashas’ 90th anniversary. What could be more special than breaking a Guinness World Records title? We’re honoured to be a record holder and are thankful for our colleagues, customers and friends who came out to show their support for our efforts.”
