Elvis is one of the few movies that didn’t have superheroes or dinosaurs to make $100 million at the US box office. The media says that the movie has made more than $170 million around the world.
The movie cost a lot of money to make. The movie about Presley’s rise to become one of the most popular rock ‘n’ roll acts, as well as his struggles with drugs and changing tastes, cost $85 million to make and tens of millions more to market.

There is a good chance that “Elvis” will make more money than “Australia,” which made $211.8 million and became Luhrmann’s second-highest-grossing movie. Another Warner Bros. movie, “The Great Gatsby,” made $355.6 million around the world, making it the director’s most popular movie, media reported.
In a statement obtained by Media, Jeff Goldstein, president of domestic distribution at Warner Bros., said in a statement, “We are not only pleased to cross this milestone but truly thrilled to see it happen with a film like this.”
“With strong playability, positive word of mouth, and cross-generational multiple viewings, we expect the film to continue to deliver, and we congratulate Baz, Austin, and everyone involved in the film and the soundtrack on its ongoing success,” Goldstein said
