Mohammed Siraj replaces Jasprit Bumrah, who has a back spasm. England won by 100 runs at Lord’s to tie the ODI series 1-1.

In the third and last ODI between India and England at Old Trafford, India won the toss and chose to bowl first.

India’s captain, Rohit Sharma, said that his team had learned a lot from losing the second ODI, when they were unable to chase down 247 runs to win. They want to get back to the way they played in the first match, when England was bowled out for 110 runs, and win by ten wickets.

“It looks like a good track, nice and hard, looks like a good batting track and I don’t think it’s going to change over the course of 100 overs so we thought we would have a score in front of us,” he said.

Jos Buttler, who is the captain of England, said that if he had won the toss, he would have chosen to bat first.

“It looks a good wicket, it’s hard, traditionally coming here we’d probably look to bat first,” Buttler said. “It’s a bit cloudy, a bit muggy so it may swing a bit but quite happy.”
