- Karachi city has witnessed 14 deaths due to electrocution amid recent monsoon rains

- More heavy falls are expected in the city today
KARACHI: Due to heavy monsoon rains in Quaid’s city, 14 people have been killed due to electrocution in different areas since Wednesday.
According to details, 20-year-old Rehman died of electrocution in Garden Market while a 23-year-old was electrocuted in Manghopir.
A 38-year-old woman was electrocuted in Landhi Mansehra Colony while Abdul Khaliq, 25, was killed while working in Korangi Mehran Town.
In addition, a child, identified as 13-year-old Muzammil son of Muzaffar, was electrocuted inside a house in Arsalan Homes, North Karachi.
In Korangi, a senior citizen was electrocuted by a water motor inside a house, while a 15-year-old child was electrocuted near a PSO pump in Muhammad Ali Society.
A child identified as Ali Mehdi was killed when the roof of his house collapsed in North Karachi Sector 7C. A 14-year-old Abdul Qadir was killed when a wall of his house collapsed in Malir area.
Imran, 35, was electrocuted in Azam Basti while Abdullah was electrocuted in Qasba Colony. A four-year-old girl was also electrocuted outside her house near Landhi.
Rescue officials said that a father and son had been swept away in the floods in Gadap yesterday. The body of 19-year-old Zeeshan was recovered during the rescue operation while the search for another was underway.
