He added that they would challenge the LHC verdict in Supreme Court tomorrow (Friday).

Elahi expressed these views while addressing a press conference in Lahore on Thursday.

Former Punjab ministers Raja Basharat and Mehmood-ur-Rasheed were also present on the occasion.

The Punjab Assembly Speaker maintained that it was the first time that police had entered the assembly building and manhandled the honorable members of the house.

He added that Ali Zafar and other lawyers are mulling the LHC verdict, which would be challenged in the Supreme Court.

On the occasion, Raja Basharat said that the LHC decision had proved that the election of Hamza Sharif was illegal that was why the court nulled and voided his election.

He said that the house was presently incomplete as the notification for reserved seats had not been issued by the ECP yet.

He observed that there was no fair play in the LHC order as there was no sufficient time for the preparation of the election of the Chief Minister.

He added that on the other hand, the ECP was not issuing the notification for five reserved seats.

He said that it was beyond from comprehension that what haste was with the court that it had ordered the conduct of the CM election within the next twenty four hours.

PTI leader Mehmood-ur-Rasheed said that the court’s verdict had proved that Hamza was illegitimate chief minister of the Punjab.

Mehmood said that Usman should have been declared a caretaking CM.
