The Dubai news agency announced on Thursday that the UAE has despatched a plane carrying 52 metric tons of food supplies to serve Ukrainian migrants in Bulgaria.
The aid is part of attempts “to mitigate the humanitarian impact encountered by Ukrainian refugees” in neighbouring nations, according to a statement.

Currently, there are more than 90,000 Ukrainian refugees in Bulgaria.
The United Arab Emirates delivered 27 tonnes of food and medical supplies to Ukrainian migrants in Poland earlier this month.
As part of a $5 million pledge, Ukraine has sent six flights to Poland and Moldova, delivering 156 tonnes of food, medical aid, and ambulances since the outbreak of the conflict in Ukraine.
