Former IG Sindh sends Rs 50m legal notice to Rao Anwar

KARACHI: Former IG Sindh Allah Dino Khawaja sent a legal notice to retired senior superintendent of police Rao Anwar against the derogatory statements he gave against him, reported BOL News on Thursday.

The sources in the know told that the notice was sent by the former IG Sindh seeking Rs 50 million in compensation and an apology from Rao Anwar within 14 days.

The notice holds that the interview of Anwar was aired on a private channel where he made baseless allegations against Khawaja and badmouthed him.

The legal notice clearly presented all the allegations and demanded an apology from the former Malir SSP.

The former IG Sindh who is currently posted as the commandant of the National Police Academy maintained that the interview damaged his reputation and asked Anwar to refrain from such acts in the future.
