Weather turns pleasant in Karachi after light rain

KARACHI: The weather in the metropolitan city turned pleasant for the citizens after last week’s scorching heat as light rain hits Karachi last night, reported BOl News.

The first spell of monsoon rain will hit the port city on July 2 to stay till July 5 as monsoon winds will start entering Sindh through Tharparkar from this evening.

The meteorological department had warned of heavy rains this monsoon. There is also a possibility of dust storms and gusts before the rains.

The Met Department predicted that a heavy downpour with thunderstorms is expected in Quaid’s city from July 2-5.

The city recorded a low of 29 degrees Celsius today and at present, the humidity is recorded at 81%.

Today’s maximum temperature is likely to be recorded at 37 degrees Celsius. While sea breezes have been completely restored in the city.

The city is currently experiencing southwesterly winds of 25 kilometers per hour. Drizzle or light rain is expected in the city in the morning and evening hours.

As per reports pouring in from different locations, the areas of Scheme 33, Gulshan-e-Maymar and New Karachi witnessed drizzling last night that turned the weather pleasant for the citizens.
