Although it hasn’t yet reached all users; Spotify has started rolling out a brand-new karaoke feature; that allows you to sing along to your favourite songs. When you use the feature while playing a song on your phone; the app will listen to your voice using the device’s built-in microphone; and read the lyrics to you. The introduction of a “Community” tab for mobile users; and the promise that audiobooks would be added to the site in the upcoming months; are just the most recent in a string of new features; announced by Spotify in recent weeks.

You must update the programme to the most recent version; in order to make use of the new feature. This version was released yesterday for Android and iOS; but it doesn’t seem to be available to everyone just yet. Team TechRadar has not yet had the chance to enliven; the workplace with our dulcet tones. Certainly not with Spotify’s help.
Play a song, then select the “lyrics” option at the bottom of the screen to find it. You should be able to select “sing”; in the top right-hand corner of the screen once the song’s lyrics have appeared.
When pressed, an audio analyzer display; that shows that your crooning is being recorded appears in the middle of the screen.
