Ghislaine Maxwell, who referred to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein however given a 20-year prison sentence on Tuesday.

Before the verdict however announced, Maxwell made her way to the witness stand and addressed the court.

Then Maxwell turned and addressed a large number of her victims who were sitting in the gallery.

She continued by saying that she hoped her imprisonment would provide them with some form of closure.

In victim impact statements, eight women detailed the sex assault they suffered at the hands of Maxwell and Epstein.

In her victim impact statement, Annie Farmer stated that she had made every effort to suppress the “black recollection” of what had happened.

Calling the abuse she claimed to have endured at the hands of Maxwell and Epstein “a disgusting feeling that makes you want to disappear.”
