As part of its curriculum, the University of Cincinnati (UC) in the US state of Ohio is introducing two new courses on cryptocurrencies, digital assets, and emerging financial technology. Dan Kautz and Woodrow Uible, longtime supporters of UC, are funding the courses, which will be taught through the Carl H. Lindner College of Business.
According to WLWT, the donation will also support the establishment of a public-private lab area within the new Digital Future building, which is set to open later this year.

When it comes to the incorporation of such a lab into the institute, UC President Neville G. Pinto is optimistic that “this new lab will open more doors for our students and bring new partnerships across our growing campus.”
“Thanks to Dan and Woody, our students will obtain hands-on, experiential education in this new frontier of financial technology,” Dean Marianne Lewis, PhD said of the benefactors. In addition, he commented on the development, saying,
“Our students will learn how to manage cryptocurrencies and how such digital assets impact our economy, positioning UC as the regional leader and among the top universities nationally with this kind of program.”
Binance-led smart contract platform BNB Chain will participate in the University of Zurich’s International Summer Schools for Blockchain Education.
With ‘Deep Dive into Blockchain’ as the main focus, students will learn about key blockchain concepts such as Consensus Model, Smart Contracts, Assets in the Ledger, Data Storage in Blocks, Identity, and Governance. Alvin Kan, Director of Business Operations at BNB Chain Labs, will oversee the initiative as well as gaming, NFT, and Data & Research.
