BEIJING: The Ministry of Public Security says that in the first five months of 2022, Chinese police caught more than 18,000 people who were involved in more than 14,000 drug-related crimes.

During the same time period, around 7.8 tonnes of drugs were seized across the nation, according to the ministry.
In the past five years, a total of 451,000 narcotics-related offences were uncovered by anti-drug departments across the nation, with 588,000 suspects apprehended and 305 tonnes of drugs seized.
