- The PBS requested Nadra to offer a detailed technological plan for the country’s first-ever digital census.
For the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS); Nadra will design a digital census solution that will ensure the precision and accuracy of population data; in the shortest time possible.
Thanks to the preparation of the digital census solution. The digital census will be carried out across the country; utilising an IT turnkey solution on android-based smart devices.
The Nadra and the PBS signed an agreement in this regard on Monday; at the PBS headquarters in Islamabad.
Minister of Federal Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal was in attendance.

CCI has recommended that the upcoming census; be conducted using contemporary technologies and digital tools.
The PBS demanded that Nadra provide a clear technological strategy; for the country’s first-ever digital census in 2022.

He believes that the bureau will be able to deliver census data to Pakistan’s Election Body in a timely manner; allowing the commission to identify new constituency delimitations; thanks to the new digital technology.
