The transgender daughter of Elon Musk has filed a request to alter her name to reflect her new gender identity and because “I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form.”
In April, the petition for a name change and a new birth certificate reflecting her new gender identification was submitted in Santa Monica to the Los Angeles County Superior Court. It was recently revealed in online media publications.

In the web document, her new name was omitted. Her mother, Justine Wilson, and Elon Musk separated in 2008.
There was no other explanation for the separation between Musk’s daughter and her father, the Tesla and SpaceX CEO, who is aiming to acquire Twitter for $44 billion.
On Monday, neither a lawyer for Musk nor the Tesla media office responded immediately to emails from Reuters requesting comment.
Musk expressed his support for the Republican Party in May, almost one month after the name and gender change document was submitted, whose elected officials support a slew of measures that would restrict transgender rights in places around the country.
