- She says she was “fortunate” to be cast in the part because “villains are entertaining”.

Leslie Bibb eventually read the screenplays, which caused her to “laugh so hard” and worry that the casting directors might go a different route. Mostly because she already had a model for the character in Reese Witherspoon’s Tracy Flick in Election.

Because, just like Tracy (Witherspoon), Satan also had “a chip on her shoulder.”
“I just knew when I read it, how I wanted to see her,” she told the media, “She’s very mercurial. It’s like a petulant child.”
Thankfully, Falcone, the show’s creator, and McCarthy, the show’s executive producer, shared this sentiment and cast Bibb as the evil world destroyer. Naturally, Bibb applauded the power couple as well, saying, “They’re great at their jobs. It’s their show, but they give you so much room to cast your net.”

According to Netflix, God’s Favorite Idiot is about a “mid-level tech employee, Clark Thompson (Falcone), who finds love with co-worker Amily Luck (McCarthy) at exactly the same time he becomes the unwitting messenger of God,” added, “There’s roller skating, a lake of fire and an impending apocalypse.”
