The Aurat March is protests organized in various cities of Pakistan including Lahore, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Karachi and Islamabad to observe International Women’s Day on 8 March 2018, and again the following years.
The first country to make the day an official holiday was the erstwhile Soviet Union in 1965.
