A Palestinian reporter working for an Iranian news agency was temporarily seized, beaten and threatened by Palestinian gunmen after covering the violent dispersal of a student rally in the West Bank earlier this week.
As per the Iranian news agency, the guys pushed Samer Khuaira into a car at gunpoint, assaulted him, and threatened him on Tuesday.

He was released almost half an hour later.
On Thursday, Iranian news claimed that Khuaira identified one of his captors as a member of the Palestinian security forces.
The Palestinian Journalists’ Union denounced their colleague’s assault.
No reaction was given by Palestinian officials.
On Tuesday morning, security personnel at Al-Najah University in Nablus violently dispersed the students.
