In the announcement, US coalition troops did not name the target; but a coalition official told AFP that the man seized was Hani Ahmed Al-Kurdi; the IS leader of Raqa when it was the de facto capital of IS in Syria.
US coalition forces said they detained a senior Islamic State of Iraq and Syria bomb maker.

Two military helicopters touched down for short a few minutes; according to a war monitor and AFP correspondents, and several shots were fired in a village.
“The arrested individual is an experienced bomb maker; and operational facilitator who rose to become one of the top leaders; of Daesh’s Syrian branch,” according to the US-led coalition.
