KARACHI: In the Dua Zehra abduction case, the accused were not found guilty, and section 216 does not apply. The police submitted the case challan of class ‘C’ to the Judicial Magistrate of District East, BOL News reports.

According to the Chalan submitted by the police, in the light of the investigation, Ghulam Mustafa and Asghar were accused of abducting Dua Zehra, who went to Punjab willingly.

She was given the green signal by the Sindh High Court (SHC) to live her life accordingly. The Medical Laboratory Observer (MLO) reports say that the age of Dua is between 16 and 17. The teenager was not found guilty of being abducted. Therefore, the Sindh Child Act will not be applied to Dua Zehra.

The Challan further says, Dua Zehra gave her statement in Sindh High Court (SHC) and front of the local Magistrate. It will be an injustice to put both Dua and Zaheer under custody. Therefore, the accused must also be released.

Police request from the court that the C class Challan should be approved. The Challan further says that Dua was recovered on June 5 from Chishtian and was presented at the Sindh High Court on June 6.
