Why Faith Hill never wanted to act again

  • Faith Hill played Sarah Sunderson in Frank Oz’s adaptation of Ira Levin’s 1972 novel ‘Stepford Wives’.
  • The actress revealed that she never wanted to act before working on the film.
  • She recently co-starred in the Yellowstone prequel 1883 with husband Tim McGraw.

Faith Hill told the presenter during a Tuesday interview that her music and having a family stopped her from making movies at first, but that her experience filming The Stepford Wives didn’t help.

She said, “My career took off, no time, had babies, and I had done a couple of things. I did Stepford Wives with an amazing cast. But it wasn’t the best experience, so I said I will never ever, ever, ever, ever do another one, a movie.”

Hill plays Margaret Dutton in 1883, while McGraw plays James Dutton, Margaret’s husband and the great-grandfather of Yellowstone character John Dutton.

She also shared why she and McGraw chose not to practise together at home before heading to the shoot.

She adds, “It seemed to work, because Tim still surprised me when we were working together — he did things as James I didn’t expect from him. I needed that in order to be as natural as possible.”
