As per details, the NA session for the budget was postponed till tomorrow while the parallel session at Aiwan-i-Iqbal commenced after a delay of nearly 2 hours.

The development came as the Punjab government failed to present the budget even after two days since the session was summoned.

A day-long talk was held between both camps on Monday and later the session for postponed till Tuesday (yesterday).

The second-day session also went without any fruitful results and the Governor summoned another session in parallel at the Aiwan-i-Iqbal for Wednesday (today).

Punjab Assembly Speaker Pervaiz Elahi termed the session under the chair of Governor Baligh-ur-Rehman as “illegal”.

He opined that if the Governor wants to convene a session, he must inform the Secretary first and maintained that convening a Punjab Assembly session in Aiwan-e-Iqbal is ‘illegal’ and ridiculous.

On the other hand, the session that was called on Wednesday in Aiwan-i-Iqbal commenced after a delay of nearly 2 hours and Provincial Minister Awais Leghari has been presenting the budget for the fiscal year 2022-23.
