The 47-year-old diva opened up about a lot of personal matters in an exclusive chat with ETimes. “It happened to me when my mom saw my prelims report shortly before my SSC examination,” she remarked when asked if she had ever been dubbed ‘nikamma’ by her parents. I had received a dismal score of 48 percent.” She went on to claim that volleyball was her top focus and that, given her skill level, she might make it big in the sport. But, knowing that her mother was dissatisfied with her grades, she worked diligently in the weeks leading up to the examinations in order to achieve a good grade and keep her at bay.
Shilpa was also questioned about her time at Nikamma. The actress responded by exclaiming that it had been an incredible experience for her and that Nikamma was a “nice clean happy film.” She also told ETimes that Nikamma was supposed to be her comeback film, but fate intervened and Hungama 2 was released on digital platforms before Nikamma. She said that everything was going according to God’s plan.
