- Taylor Swift is opening out about her hardships as she shifts her professional path toward music.
- Swift revealed that she has a ‘imposter syndrome’ and confessed that she would like to conquer her worries as a music director during a screening of All Too Well
- The Short Film at the Beacon Theater in New York City as part of the 2022 Tribeca Festival.
In an interview with filmmaker Mike Mills, the diva discussed directing videos such as “The Man,” “Cardigan,” and “Willow,” as well as All Too Well: The Short Film.

“I’ve always been quite curious.” “I was always looking, studying, and trying to take in as much as I could,” she explained. “I basically started going into the edit and making modifications a few music videos [into my career].”
“It started with fiddling, and it progressed from messing with the edit to composing the music video treatments… “That was almost 10 years ago,” Swift remembered, saying that she’d frequently create her own music videos before entrusting them to a seasoned filmmaker — until 2019’s “The Man.”

Taylor also discussed her concerns, saying, “Once I started directing music videos, I didn’t want to do it.”
“I guess I had impostor syndrome going on in my thoughts, telling me, ‘No, you don’t do that.’ Other folks who went to school to [direct] do it.’ “Swift elaborated.
