- Facebook’s parent company, has shelved development on a dual-camera wristwatch.
- Meta is also reportedly delaying the release of its new headsets, according to The Information.
- It took two years to build and was built with traditional watch capabilities in mind.

The function is linked to Meta’s electromyography programming, which the company touts as a method to use your hand as a controller—a it’s very “metaverse” notion, and it appears that this wristwatch was designed to accompany you in both the physical and digital worlds.
The App is still working on wearables, but it appears that this one, codenamed Milan, is not for this world. Spotify, WhatsApp, and Instagram Stories were among the native apps The App was developing for the wearable.
It’s an excellent tactic, given that Meta’s smart display sales have increased by 30% according to IDC. However, this accounted for only 1% of total smart display sales. With their own gadgets, Google and Amazon are market leaders, thus Meta’s move into the business makes sense.
