Sami Zayn has become a midcard heel on SmackDown since teaming up with former archrival Kevin Owens a few years ago. Since then, he has won the Intercontinental Championship and worked with people like Shinsuke Nakamura and The Bloodline. Although he has become a reliable heel for the company, many fans of NXT’s black and gold era remember him as the underdog babyface. Zayn appears to be returning in that direction.

WWE recently shared a video of Zayn’s encounter with the Bloodline. For weeks, Zayn has been attempting to gain the favour of Roman Reigns and his family. Despite his efforts to establish himself as a reliable member of the group, it is clear that the Bloodline does not want anything to do with Zayn.

The compilation video includes not only Zayn and the Bloodline, but also his segment with Owens. During the segment, Owens attempted to persuade Zayn that the Bloodline is only concerned with themselves. Zayn is seen quietly ditching his green outfit and military patrol style “Fidel Castro” hat at one point in the video. Check out the video compilation below.

If Reigns suddenly shows up on television more, Zayn holding the briefcase could be the next direction for the story, Until then, we’ll have to see if any consequences are coming for Zayn after losing to Riddle this week on SmackDown.
