- The song Rozi by Pakistani hip hop artist and vocalist Eva B appeared in the first episode of Marvel Cinematic Universe’s new series Ms Marvel.
- Gingger Shankar, an American singer and composer, produced and co-wrote the song sung by Pakistan’s first female rapper.
The Kana Yaari hitmaker confirmed the huge news on Instagram, writing, “I am feeling greaaatttt and very blessed that I got a part in @msmarvelofficial’s 1st episode.”
“I’d want to thank @gingger shankar in particular for making this happen,” she said.

Shankar also stated her delight about collaborating on a Marvel production, saying, “The track is done in Urdu, which is wonderful for a popular Marvel series to accomplish.”

“I’ve always been a Marvel fan, but if you told me five years ago that we’d be producing an Urdu hip hop music with Pakistani and Indian inspirations for a Pakistani female superhero, I wouldn’t have believed you!” she continued.
“Eva and I worked on it between Los Angeles and Pakistan throughout the epidemic, and we’re excited for people to see it debut on Ms. Marvel,” Shankar concluded.
The song was used in the series’ opening episode, which premiered on Disney+ on June 8, 2022.
