Russian bombers have likely been launching massive anti-ship missiles designed to destroy aircraft carriers with nuclear warheads against ground targets in Ukraine, as per a British military intelligence report released on Saturday.

According to a daily briefing from Britain’s Defense Ministry, Russia is likely using such weapons because it lacks more precise modern missiles.
Russian forces have been focusing their efforts on conquering the Donbas region of Ukraine’s eastern coal mines and industry.
Since 2014, the region has been partially controlled by Moscow-backed separatists.

As per the report, Ukrainian air defences continue to impede Russian tactical aircraft from conducting strikes across much of the country.
