- Marvel Studios may be about to release its next major team-up movie.
- A film based on the Thunderbolts, a squad of supervillains from comics, is in development.
The Thunderbolts are a gang of Marvel comics villains, anti-heroes, and reformed baddies, some of whom have previously made appearances in the MCU.

‘Black Widow’ and ‘Hawkeye’ star Florence Pugh, Hannah John-Ghost Kamen from ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp,’ Tim Roth’s Abomination from ‘The Incredible Hulk’ and ‘She-Hulk: Attorney at Law,’ Wyatt Russell’s John Walker (aka U.S. Agent) from ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,’ or Olga Kurylenko’s Taskmaster from ‘Black Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) are two Avengers characters that might be added to the Thunderbolts lineup.
The MCU provides at least two alternatives for the Thunderbolts’ leader. The first is Baron Zemo, who was played by Daniel Bruhl in a number of films, including ‘Captain America: Civil War’ and ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.’ Zemo is a well-connected aristocrat in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and a former military officer from the devastated nation of Sokovia. Dora Milaje of Wakanda was last seen bringing him to the Raft, an ocean-based prison.

Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus, is the second. She initially appears in ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,’ when then recruits John Walker to work for her, and she reappears in the post-credits scene of ‘Black Widow,’ giving Yelena the assignment to murder Clint. Valentina’s exact identity is unclear, however she is also known in the comics as Madame Hydra.
