- According to The Sun, the singer, actual name Ashley Frangipane, was sued in Los Angeles this week for failing to “pay overtime wages, pay wages on a timely manner, refund business expenditures, waiting for time penalties, and handicap discrimination, as well as failure to adapt and participate.”
Ashley Funches, the complainant, claimed that she worked ‘around the clock’ to care for her kid in late 2021 and was ‘fired’ when she asked payment for the extra.

In addition, Funches accused the singer of revenge and failing to prevent. Funches has asked for an unknown sum in compensation for “unpaid salaries, fines, interest, attorneys’ fees, and charges and expenditures.”
Meanwhile, according to TMZ, Halsey’s rep has called the claims “baseless.”

“This individual’s employment was recently terminated in response to specific events in which Halsey’s newborn was left alone in a dangerous area while under the nanny’s care, and it was determined the nanny was inebriated while the kid was in her care,” according to the spokesperson.
“Furthermore, no complaints were ever lodged against this employee throughout his tenure with Halsey.”
“Since a result, while Halsey is upset and disturbed by this turn of events, they believe it is critical to openly dispute these charges, as they take ableism and ethical working conditions extremely seriously.”
