According to state Justice Department authorities, a sheriff’s officer in northern Wisconsin shot and killed a knife wielding person during a traffic stop on Wednesday.
An Oconto County Sheriff’s officer responded to many 911 calls about a reckless motorist on Interstate 41 at 2:40 p.m. The incident began when an Oconto County Sheriff’s deputy reacted to multiple 911 calls about a careless driver on Interstate 41.
About 10 minutes later, the deputy discovered the car by the side of the freeway in Oconto. A passenger in the car approached the officer wielding a knife as the deputy was ministering to the driver.

When the individual refused to obey the deputy’s directions, They hit and killed the victim at the site.
The gender and race of those engaged in the incident were not released by the authorities. Gillian Drummond, a spokesperson for the agency, did not immediately respond to a message left Thursday morning.
