BAFTA and Golden Globe contender Sienna Miller, SAG ensemble winner Freida Pinto, and Cannes Film Festival; Best Actress Emily Beecham have joined Kristin Scott Thomas’ feature directorial debut ‘My Mother’s Wedding,’ which stars Scarlett Johansson.
The premise of the film is being kept under wraps, but Thomas co-wrote it with John Micklethwait. It is also said that filming for the project has already begun.
Thomas was said to be making her feature directorial debut with ‘The Sea Change’; based on Elizabeth Jane Howard’s novel of the same name, back in 2017. This is not that project, and it never materialised.

Miller got a Golden Globe nomination for ‘The Girl,’ in which she portrayed Tippi Hedren to Toby Jones’ Alfred Hitchcock; and a BAFTA nod for Best Leading Actress for ‘The Girl’; in which she played Tippi Hedren to Toby Jones’ Alfred Hitchcock. She was also nominated for a BAFTA in the Rising Star category in 2008.
Pinto, who is most known for her role in the Oscar-winning British film ‘Slumdog Millionaire’; will next be seen in Emma Holly Jones’ ‘Mr Malcolm’s List’; which will be released on July 1 by Bleecker Street.
