KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) on Wednesday allowed teenager Dua Zehra to decide with whom she wants to stay.
As per details, SHC resumed the hearing for the most hyped case of a missing teenager Dua Zehra and allowed the girl to decide with whom she wants to stay, her parents or husband.
In a three-page written order, Justice Junaid Ghaffar maintained that the court has announced the verdict in the light of testimonies that have proven the girl was not abducted.
“In light of all the evidence, this is not a case of kidnapping.” The court disposed of the petition for the recovery of Dua Zehra.
Earlier, during the hearing, SHC ordered to arrange a meeting for Dua’s parents to meet her daughter in the chamber.
The teenager refused to see her parents when asked by Justice Junaid Ghaffar.

Furthermore, in today’s proceeding, Dua’s mother tried to meet her daughter while she was entering the court in police custody to which the mother was not allowed by the security officials.
The mother pleaded with wet eyes and was lent some moments with her daughter who seemed reluctant to meet her parents.
On the other hand, father of the girl, Mehdi Kazmi, requested the establishment and the government to help him out in recovery of his daughter as he claimed that the daughter during the short meeting in the court admitted to return back home with the parents.
Notably, the girl went missing in April and was later recovered from Lahore allegedly married to Zaheer Ahmed.
Initially, an abduction report was registered for the girl who later maintained in a video message that she left her residence willingly to tie the knot with Zaheer.
