As per both a military leader and a spokeswoman for the Azov Regiment, DNA testing is ongoing to identify the bodies, which have been moved to the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv.

The Azov Regiment was one of the Ukrainian forces that defended the steelworks for nearly three months until succumbing to Russian ground, naval, and air attacks in May.
