• Akshay Kumar is commemorating the 30th anniversary of his famous action-thriller flick Khiladi.
• The Sooryavanshi actor recalled his debut role and praised director Abbas Mustan for giving him the persona of a ‘Khiladi.’

Earlier on Sunday, the hit filmmaking pair of Abbas Alibhai Burmawalla and Mustan Alibhai Burmawalla celebrated the film’s 30th anniversary by tweeting the poster of Khiladi and writing, “Chase the things that get you thrilled about live.

” We did precisely that three decades ago, and we were happy for our first success, ‘Khiladi.’

In response to their post, the Bell Bottom actor said, “Thank you for giving me my first success, Abbas Mastan ji, and the moniker or more like an identity that has stuck with me to this day, Khiladi.”

Khiladi, which was released in 1992, also starred Ayesha Jhulka, Deepak Tijori, and Sabeeha, with Prem Chopra, Shakti Kapoor, Anant Mahadevan, and Johnny Lever in supporting parts.

On the professional front, Akshay is now enjoying the success of his most recent film, Samrat Prithviraj, which also stars Manushi Chhillar.
