Cody hurt himself weight lifting this week. The story circles behind the stage evening in Champaign, Illinois is that he tore his pec.
I don’t have a clue about that 100% [if] that is the injury. That is certainly the story going around. That is what various grapplers were talking about the previous evening, and Cody was there.
“The assumption everybody had was he’s functioning Hell in a Cell this evening and from that point we’ll see. Yet, a torn pec is, you know, that is a really significant physical issue, that’s what assuming that it is.”
Rhodes versus Rollins in a road battle was planned for the previous evening’s home show in Champaign, Illinois, yet it was reported that Rhodes was harmed and the match was changed. Rhodes actually showed up at the show as a component of a point with Rollins.
Rhodes and Rollins have confronted each other at two straight PPVs driving into Hell in a Cell, with Rhodes overcoming Rollins at both WrestleMania 38 and WrestleMania Backlash.
