- Recently, acclaimed playback singer Shaan Mukherji, a close friend of KK’s, paid a heartfelt tribute to his late colleague.
The Chaand Sifarish singer, who was performing at an occasion, recalled his co-musician and sang one of his classic songs, Pal, for the crowd.

Shaan can be heard saying in a video released by the singer on his official Instagram profile that he would want to start the evening by honouring KK and performing his evergreen song, which has a wonderful philosophy to it.
“Remembering Kakes,” he said in the caption. I’m not sure why, but that’s what I call him. Kakes”.

Shaan and KK have worked together on a number of chartbuster songs, including Koi Kahe, Time To Disco, Dus Bahane, and Golmaal, and were most recently seen on Kapil Sharma’s comedy programme.
On May 31, KK died shortly after playing at a performance in Kolkata.
