Queen Elizabeth II demonstrated her outstanding acting skills alongside Paddington Bear. The monarch and the iconic English figure are seen having afternoon tea at Buckingham Palace in London in the clip.

As he removes a marmalade sandwich from his hat, the CGI bear—voiced by actor Ben Whishaw—offers, “Perhaps you would like a marmalade sandwich,” added, “I always keep one for emergencies.”

“So do I,” the Queen says as she takes a sandwich from her beloved purse. “I save mine in here for later,” “I keep mine in here, for later,” says the narrator.

The Queen and Paddington performed a pre-recorded skit in front of Buckingham Palace as part of the 96-year-Platinum old’s Jubilee celebrations, which included the BBC’s Party at the Palace event.

The Trooping the Color procession started off the multi-day ceremony, which commemorates the ceremonial monarch’s 70 years on the throne. The Queen was accompanied by Prince William and Kate Middleton, as well as their three children, Prince George, 8, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4, who came in a horse-drawn carriage.

The Queen was supposed to attend the National Service of Thanksgiving the next day at St. Paul’s Cathedral, but she cancelled due to”some discomfort,” according to the palace. She also didn’t show up for the Buckingham Palace performance or the Epsom Derby, both of which were held on the same day.
