- Meta has added a new ‘Calls’ option to its Messenger app for iOS and Android users worldwide.
- The new tab will keep track of all of the calls you make or receive in the app in one location.
- making it easier to connect calls with a single push.
Facebook pulled messaging from the main Facebook app in 2014 as part of its effort to make Meta’s Messenger a unique experience, forcing mobile users to download a separate app to continue using the service. Video calls were first launched in 2015, followed by Instagram cross-app messaging and, finally, cross-app group conversations.

Additional shortcuts, such as the @everyone tag, which informs everyone in a conversation, and the /silent option, which transmits a message without generating notifications for everyone else in the group, were recently introduced.
The amount of audio and video calls made each day has increased by 40% since early 2020, according to Meta’s Messenger, with 300 million calls made each day.
Messenger first added voice calls in 2013, and this latest update takes it one step closer to being a full-fledged communication hub.
