According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp plans to offer its users the ability to add a cover photo to their profile. There is no explanation other than the efforts to make the information pages look nicer and more helpful. There is, however, a catch, and not everyone will be able to take advantage of the function.

Only WhatsApp Business subscribers, and only on the current version of the desktop client, will be able to access the WhatsApp Cover Photo feature. As a result, you’ll have to log into your WhatsApp Business account and see your Cover Photo on your computer to see it. It’s worth noting that the WhatsApp Cover Photo feature has been accessible on iOS for WhatsApp Business subscribers. The WhatsApp Business beta app now allows users to personalise their cover photos. On WhatsApp Business on Android, the feature is still in beta, and it is now being tested for WhatsApp Desktop.
