The US president said in his piece: “Many people throughout the world, I know, are frightened about nuclear weapons being used.”

“Although Russia’s periodic bluster to rattle the nuclear sabre is reckless and irresponsible, we presently see no sign that Russia intends to deploy nuclear weapons in Ukraine.”
“Let me be clear: any use of nuclear weapons in this confrontation, on any scale, would be absolutely unacceptable to us and the rest of the world, with serious repercussions.”
As per the Federation of American Scientists, Russia maintains the world’s largest nuclear weapons stockpile of 5,977 warheads.

The United States has 5,428 while France has 290 and the United Kingdom has 225.
According to the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists, Russia’s arsenal consists of 4,447 warheads, 1,588 of which are deployed on ballistic missiles and heavy bomber bases.
As part of a $700 million security aid package, President Joe Biden stated that the US will give Ukraine with more modern rocket systems and bombs.
