A lady and two others injured in a shooting in New Orleans

According to authorities, a suspect was apprehended Tuesday in connection with a shooting on a college campus in New Orleans that killed an elderly woman and injured two others.

This shooting in New Orleans incident occurred in a parking lot outside Xavier University of Louisiana’s Convocation Center in New Orleans.

Morris Jeff High School in New Orleans was holding its graduation ceremony at the Convocation Center. According to police, a dispute following the wedding erupted into a shooting.

“This sad occurrence may have been avoided,” NOPD Deputy Chief Christopher Goodly remarked. “We’re asking everyone with the knowledge to assist us in making this a successful resolution from the start.”

Goodly informed reporters that he didn’t know if the persons fighting in the parking lot were the ones who drew guns or how many weapons or bullets were discharged.

According to the police, The identities of injured victims have not been revealed. Their injuries were not life-threatening. It was unclear whether they were linked to those at the graduation ceremony.
