Pakistani cricketers made their country and the Zalmi family proud by clinching the European Cricket Series title with Alby Zalmi — an abroad Pakistani faction — as per a statement issued by the Peshawar Zalmi media department on Monday.
According to a media release, Alby Zalmi defeated Bo Trika Club in the final in Stockholm, Sweden, by 20 runs.
Zalmi elected to bat first in the rain-soaked final and scored 94 runs for the loss of four wickets. Ismail Zia (39) and Raheel Khan (20) were among the outstanding batsmen.
Mir Afzal blew a match-winning spell while taking 4 key wickets with a hattrick.
