ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharrif will speak to a public rally at Mansehra today (Sunday) in response to the political charged rallies of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
The premier is expected to speak on the coalition government’s agenda on economy.
Meanwhile, PTI Chief Imran Khan announced on Saturday to move Supreme Court on Monday in regards to the right of the nation to protest. He was addressing a meeting with senior anchorpersons in CM House KPK.
Imran Khan maintained during the meeting that it has been fake propaganda against him that he was upset with some of the party workers for failure in bringing out the crowd.
He opined that a huge crowd came out on roads in Islamabad, Lahore and other major cities and braved the worst cruelty of police during the Azadi march. Imran Khan also said the situation which emerged on May 25 was never witnessed in history not even during the eras of President Musharraf and President Ayub Khan.
The PTI chairman while touching on the further plan of action in regards to the protest against the ‘imported government’ said that May 31 is the deadline for the government. “If the government failed to dissolve the Assemblies and no announcement of the date of polls is made then we will disclose the date for the next sit-in’” he said while adding that on Monday PTI will contact Supreme Court in regard to know about the nation’s right to protest peacefully.
He also maintained that PTI is the only political party in Pakistan that has no militant wing unlike other political parties adding that PTI has hopes only with SC.
