Karachi: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) convenes a meeting on local body elections in Karachi, the conference will be held at Zardari House to be chaired by PPP leader Faryal Talpur.
According to sources, the meeting will review the elections and will be continued for 2 days. The Provincial Minister Saeed Ghani, Information Secretary Waqar Mehdi, member of Senate Nisar Khorro and other district officials were directed to attend the meeting.
Sources said that PPP leaders will present a report in the meeting regarding the preparations of elections in Karachi, their workers had directed to intensify preparations for the local body elections in all the districts of Karachi.
Earlier at Quetta, Advisor to Balochistan Chief Minister on Home, Tribal Affairs and Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Mir Ziaullah Langau has said that a security plan has been devised to maintain law and order during the local body elections to be held on May 29.
