Apple has reportedly encouraged manufacturers to speed up component development in order to fulfil manufacturing deadlines; according to anonymous people close to the situation.

Foxconn and Pegatron are thought to be the two main suppliers for the next Apple iPhone 14 series. Two of the four iPhone 14 series handsets are said to have been ordered by Luxshare Precision. According to the study, the delay in factory reopenings in China; notably in and around Shanghai due to Covid lockdown, is harming these enterprises. According to the insiders, Apple was taken off guard when harsh confinement limits were imposed after a smattering of documented cases around the country, followed by monthlong lockdowns in the company’s most critical electronics clusters.
