An improvised explosive device detonated on a moving bus in the southern Philippine province of South Cotabato on Thursday, wounding at least two people, according to authorities.
Around 12:30 p.m. local time, an explosion swept through the back portion of the bus, which was moving down a popular thoroughfare in Koronadal City.
Two trike drivers who were riding near the bus were hurt by the explosion. When the bus exploded, five people were on board, including the driver, and they were seated in the front portion.
There has been no claim of responsibility for the explosion.
The incident has prompted police to initiate an inquiry.
