As further international charges of Russia causing a food crisis as a result of its blockade of Ukrainian sea ports have been leveled, the Russian Defense Ministry has moved to rationalise its unlawful acts.
According to source, this is according to an article published on the website of the Information Resistance news site.
“In particular, the Russian Defense Ministry sent a letter to the presidents of the Moscow Association of Military Attaches (MAMA), the Moscow Association of Air Force Attaches (AFOA), and the Moscow Association of Naval Attaches (FNOA), accusing Ukraine of causing the food crisis,” according to the statement.
It further claims that the Russian ministry, while ignoring and denying its role in the food crisis, accused Ukraine in this letter of holding foreign ships hostage and refusing to let them leave ports, threatening to start fire. In turn, none of the representatives of the ships docked in Ukrainian ports have stated that they are being detained by force, and everyone is well aware that they are being held prisoner in an extremely dangerous situation, which Russia has created. The Russian Defense Ministry attempted to portray itself as a benefactor in the letter, claiming that Russian authorities ‘sheltered’ more than a million Ukrainian refugees.
However, it is widely documented that a considerable number of Ukrainian citizens from seized territory were forcibly deported to Russia and interned in concentration camps,” the statement claimed.
