Following his conviction for sexually assaulting a 15-year-old child, a former Conservative MP was sentenced to 18 months in prison.

Imran Ahmad Khan, 48, the Wakefield MP, was convicted guilty; of touching the child at a party in 2008 at a trial last month.
Following his conviction, Khan was removed from the Conservative Party and later retired as an MP.
The judge stated that Khan did not show “any regret” for his actions.
Mr Justice Jeremy Baker, who handed down the sentence at Southwark Crown Court, said Khan’s conduct had “profoundly mentally damaged” the victim.
