Four individuals were killed when a three-story building in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial capital, fell.

Five people have been recovered, and rescuers are searching through the rubble for survivors.
The construction site on Lagos Island is said to have caved in due to heavy rain.
The structure had previously been locked off because work had violated safety requirements, according to an official.
Despite the site being shut off, the developer continued to operate at night and on weekends, according to Oluwafemi Oke-Osanyintolu, the head of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency.
