However, the heavy contingent of police had to face intense reprisal by the PTI activists who have settled camps around Bani Gala. Not only this, the PTI stalwarts also chanted slogans against the incumbent government.
The stalwarts came to the fore with twigs in their hands in defense of the former prime minister after which, the police had to put back the operation while PTI leader Ali Amin Gandapur reached the spot.
The whole operation was carried out for an hour and the police had to turn back after extreme retaliation from the PTI activists.
Notably, PTI activists on May 19 set up camps outside Imran Khan’s residence in a bid to protect the PTI supremo from the possible arrest.
More than 200 student activists of the Insaf Student Federation (ISF) were gathered at the spot.
